HOW TO CONVERT YOUR DOLLARS INTO PESOS:
  • Make sure that you have at least one BPI Dollar Account* and one BPI, BFB or BPI Direct Peso Account enrolled in BPI Express Online. BPI Express Online is the transaction platform of BPI Direct to ensure the security of your online transactions.
  • Log on to BPI Express Online and go to the Online Foreign Exchange Services under the Other Services menu.
  • Select your BPI Express Online-enrolled Dollar account to be debited.
  • Enter the amount of US Dollars you wish to sell, or the amount in Pesos you wish to receive.
  • Choose your Express Online-enrolled Peso account to credit your transaction.
  • Click on the "SUBMIT" button and wait for the confirmation page to appear.
It's that easy!!!

*For ATM Accounts Only. Passbook-based dollar accounts must be converted to ATM-based accounts and enrolled in Express Online.

  What is Online FX?  
  Online FX is the online service which provides you the facility to convert your dollars to pesos online, real time using your BPI/BPI Family Bank and/or BPI Direct accounts enrolled in BPI Express Online. Be in direct control of your finances as you sell your dollars online and take advantage of the attractive rates offered. No more queuing in foreign exchange counters!
 		 

 
 

  Does Online FX deal in other currencies? Can I convert my pesos into dollars?  
  No, Online FX transactions are limited to the conversion of US Dollars into Pesos only.
 		 

 
 

  What do I need in order to avail of this service?  
  To avail of this service, you must have the following:
  • A BPI Dollar ATM Savings or Checking Account enrolled in Express Online. If your dollar account is passbook based, you may still avail of the service by having your passbook-based account converted to an ATM account in your branch.
  • A Peso Savings or Checking Account with BPI, BPI Family Bank or BPI Direct enrolled in Express Online.
 		 

 
 

  Are there any required documents before I can transact?  
  Absolutely no documents are necessary for you to make an Online FX transaction.
 		 

 
 

  Are there restrictions as to the amount I can transact with Online FX?  
  No restrictions have been imposed as to the amount that you can transact via the Online FX Facility. However, the Bank reserves the right to set a transaction amount limit without prior notice.
 		 

 
 

  What exchange rate will be used? How often will the rate change?  
  BPI Direct will give you attractive foreign exchange rates that may change as often as the market trend dictates.
 		 

 
 

  What are the trading hours? When can I use the Online FX Facility?  
  BPI Direct will follow the trading hours of the Philippine Dealing System, which will start at 9:30 am and end at 3:30 pm, Philippine Time. On the same note, the facility will not be available during weekends and Philippine holidays. However, the Bank reserves the right to change the trading period without prior notice.
 		 

 
 

  What types of transactions can I make using this facility?  
  With the Online FX facility, you can exchange your dollars into pesos at the applicable rate, real-time.
 		 

 
 

  Can I cancel my Online FX Transactions?  
  The system processes your request as soon as you confirm your FX Transaction by clicking on the SUBMIT button in the transaction page. As such, there will be no cancellation or reversal of the transaction once it has been processed.
 		 

 
 

  How will I know if my transaction was effected?  
  Once you have submitted your transaction, wait for the confirmation page to appear to ensure that your transaction was effected. Your chosen dollar account will be debited based on the amount you have entered and the corresponding peso account will be credited based on the applicable rate. You will also receive a confirmation email in your registered email address. All these happen real-time!

Should a confirmation page not appear, you may view your transactions for the day to verify if the transaction was completed.
 		 

 
 

  How will I track my transactions? What will I see in my transaction details?  
  You can track your transactions by viewing the transaction history of the accounts (dollar and peso) you have used to make the online FX transaction. Your online FX transactions will have the transaction code "INTERNET TRF" which you will see in the description column of the Transaction Details page.
