  What is the difference between BPI Express Online and BPI Direct Savings Bank?  
  BPI Direct Savings Bank is the Philippine's first phone and Internet bank that is a 100% owned subsidiary of Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI). BPI Direct services the needs of the Overseas Filipinos as well as other individuals who wish to take advantage of being able to do a host of banking transactions over the Internet. BPI Express Online, on the other hand, is the Internet Banking transaction platform that provides this facility to depositors of BPI, BPI Family Savings Bank and BPI Direct. Transactions done via Express Online are safe and secure.

  Will I be able to bank even if I am outside the Philippines?  
  YES! BPI Direct is your bank away from home, offering a convenient way of banking even if you are outside the country. With BPI Direct, you will be able to monitor your account balances, transfer funds, pay bills and request for special services with BPI Express Online. You can also apply for an auto or home loan and even send gifts and money to your family members back home.
 
 


 
  How will I be able to open an account if I am outside the Philippines?  
  Below are the steps on how you can open an account outside the Philippines.

Apply for a deposit account by filling out the online form in BPI Direct.

Connect to the Internet from anywhere in the world.

    Go to www.bpidirect.com

    Go to Deposit Accounts page and choose the type of account you wish to open.

    Fill up the form completely and submit the information. A confirmation page will appear informing you that your application has been received by BPI Direct.

    Await e-mail instructions.

    Wait for e-mail instructions on how you can complete your account opening.

    Follow the steps provided in the e-mail.

    You will receive your BPI Direct ATM Card at once, as soon as you personally visit your nominated branch to fill out and sign a signature card and present any two of the following valid IDs:
  • Driver's License
  • Passport
  • Credit Card
  • Professional Regulatory Commission ID

    You will also receive a BPI Direct Info Card. This Info Card contains all the things that you have to do in order to claim your BPI Direct ATM Card upon your visit to the Philippines. Simply present your Info Card together with your valid ID's to your nominated branch.

    After filling out the signature card and presenting valid ID's, you will be given your BPI Direct ATM Card and will be asked to key in your personal identification number (PIN) for the ATM.

     
      You're done! You can now start doing your online transactions after e-mail notice of activation by logging in to www.bpiexpressonline.com.  
     


     
      What benefits will BPI Direct be able to provide me?  
      With BPI Direct, you will be able to do the following:

    • Invest online and trade stocks and fixed income securities through BPI Trade.

      I am behind a corporate firewall. Can I use BPI Direct?  
      BPI Direct is browser based, thus allowing you to conduct online banking without interfering with your company's firewall. However, should you experience any difficulty, you can always e-mail us or call your Phone Banker at Express Phone Number 89-100 for Metro Manila, 1-800-188-89100 domestic toll free or dial + 63 + 2 + 89-10000, the International Access Code when calling from abroad.
